About The Instructor
Amanda is the founder and CEO of Elite EQ Training. She is also a professional actor, singer, acting coach, and voice teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre from Oklahoma City University. Shortly after graduating, she moved to New York City and continued her education, studying the acclaimed, award-winning Meisner Technique under Sanford Meisner’s protege, James Price. (Celebrated actors who use the Meisner Technique include: Anthony Hopkins, Timothee Chalamet, Tom Cruise, and more.) Under the tutelage of James Price, Amanda became an expert in EQ and persuasive communication, an observer of human behavior, honing her skills in emotional understanding, authentic expression, and behavioral replication.
Amanda has been seen on Oxygen, ID Discovery, and Hulu where she voices Heith, the supernatural healer, in the hit anime, Is It Wrong To Try To Hit On Girls In Dungeons. She has also appeared in several commercials, including a Super Bowl commercial, and she was tapped to sing the National Anthem at a Houston Astros game on behalf of The Alley Theatre. Amanda has performed Off-Broadway, internationally, and in regional theatres across the country. Off-Broadway credits include the titular role in the new opera, Esther’s Dilemma, Bernadette Perez in Keith Huff’s (Mad Men, House of Cards) Six Corners, and Mary Bailey in It’s A Wonderful Life Radio Play. Regionally, some of her favorite credits include: Dial M for Murder, American Mariachi, Camelot, Jesus Christ Superstar, Laughs In Spanish, Present Laughter, Simprov (world premiere), A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Best of Everything, and Aunt Julia and Scriptwriter.
